Luna, Luna!
Without a doubt, a truly special piece. It captures so much of what I am experiencing as a father with my son. Beginning with a unique and enigmatic sonority, the music shifts midway through to become even more magical.
Students will have the opportunity to showcase how well they control the E string and their fingers upon it, utilizing both long and short bows through minims (half notes) and crotchets (quarter notes). To top it all off, it features an unexpected ending—just like the magical, surprising experience of fatherhood.
