What is the string teaching library?
The String Teaching Library is an online collection of original repertoire for string students and the teachers who guide them.
Every piece is written with the needs of real students and teachers in mind, with the aim of making learning musical, meaningful and enjoyable from the very beginning.
This is a different kind of library. Teachers can choose individual pieces rather than buying an entire book, building a repertoire that fits each student, each lesson and each moment of learning.

Every piece is created with a clear educational purpose, shaped by years of teaching experience and real work with students.
Every piece has been tried and tested in real classroom situations, then revised and refined to achieve its most effective and musical version.
The scores are designed to offer a complete experience, with illustrations that help students connect with the story and character of the music and encourage them to step into the world of each piece.
Each purchase includes a full-colour illustrated score, a black and white version and the piano accompaniment. A short audio sample is also available for every piece, so teachers and students can hear the music before buying.
Backing tracks are available to purchase and download directly from The String Teaching Library, with three different practice speeds: Slow, Medium and Full Speed. Many tracks can also be streamed on Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes and Amazon Music.
For Open String pieces, backing tracks are included with your purchase and are not available on streaming platforms.
