First Steps
We are facing a piece with delicate forms. We seek the magic of those first moments of something truly important—what could it be? The sound must be magical. With this vision, "First Steps" is designed to accompany students as they discover a whole new way of making their instrument sing.
Requiring an up-bow start, students will observe and learn proper bow distribution while demonstrating solid control across the central strings of the instrument. To top it all off, subtle slurs grace the central section of the piece. Truly a gift for the teacher as well as for the student.
