This is my Story
This is the story of a child who dreams about the future. A playful opening captures the innocence of childhood, before the music becomes more ethereal as the child begins to dream. The final section brings us back to that same joyful innocence.
Built around the rhythmic pattern of four quavers followed by two crotchets, the piece develops quick finger movements and string changes using smooth legato bowing. Written mainly on the E and A strings, with just one note on D, it offers a focused technical challenge wrapped in an imaginative musical story.
